Our hotel, located at Perros Guirec Best Western Les Bains 3* is the ideal base for exploring Brittany. From the hotel & Spa Les Bains in Perros Guirec, discover our suggestions for walks to fill up on memories on your own, as a couple, with friends and family or on a business trip.
On the beach, the Trestrignel circuit
Approximately 7 minutes by car from our hotel to Perros Guirec Best Western Les Bains to the France Libre car park, the starting point for this tour. Architecture buffs will be delighted by the superb 19th and 20th century seaside villas and manor houses that punctuate the walk. The best-known villa is undoubtedly that of the painter Maurice Denis, "Silencio Y Descanso", a holiday home in a surprising neo-medieval style built at the end of the 19th century, which inspired several of his paintings.
Along the 5km route, you'll discover Pors ar Goret beach at the bottom of its 99 steps, as well as Île Tomé, which for a long time was a base for pirates and smugglers.
Forest side, the Traouiero Valley
By your own means or with a guide, plunge into the heart of a forest of chestnut, oak and hazelnut trees, less than 10 minutes from our hotel at Perros Guirec Les Bains 3*. Here too, smugglers have left their mark: on the route, the Grotte des Contrebandiers was once a hiding place for horses requisitioned in wartime, as well as a place for trysts. The Grotte des Lépreux, meanwhile, was occupied by a hermit who was reputed to be a leper, although this has not been confirmed.
Look out too for the 1833 gravestone that spans the Kerougant, the stream that separates Perros Guirec from Trégastel.
Finally, the Lost Logoden pond is the perfect place to take a break, in an enchanting setting worthy of the legends of Brittany.
On the countryside side, the hinterland of Perros Guirec
Your stay at our hotel in Perros Guirec will also give you the chance to discover the Perros hinterland: a countryside full of charm, with a rich natural and built heritage. Depending on what you want to do and where you stop, you'll need to allow between 1 and 2? hours to walk the 5 to 8 km route. Let yourself be charmed by the calvaries, wash-houses and chapels along the way. From hedged farmland to orchards, from valleys to farmland, the landscapes around Perros Guirec are sure to leave you with wonderful memories.
Take advantage of this walk to stop off at a cider house and discover the ancestral process that gives this typical Breton drink its unique flavour. In season, guided tours are available at the "Le Verger de Kernivinen" cider house.
You can also admire the remains of a rolling bridge used to transport granite blocks, the crosses at Roz-ar-Prad and Kroas Ar Varen, the chapel of Notre-Dame de Pitié, the chapel of La Clarté and the chapel of Saint-Guirec.
